WELCOME to Tarot Salon. The French word ‘Salon’ was used in the 18th and 19th centuries in Paris, and in the French Quarter in New Orleans, to describe, among other things, a Tarot reader’s consulting room.

The term ‘salon’ is derived from the French word meaning “a study, or a meeting or visiting room”. Historically, the word ‘salon’ also had reference to a conversational gathering of intellectuals, poets, authors, artists, etc., who would gather at various homes, in order to discuss ideas and new literary works.

Tarot Salon was founded in Austin, Texas. Free public lectures on Tarot, Tarot classes, and readings were offered at The Gardens of the Ancients in Austin. Tarot Salon is now located in Huntsville, Texas.

Tarot Salon continues to be a dedicated and open space, where the art of traditional Tarot is researched, practiced and taught. Individual consultations are provided in-person by scheduled appointment.
