Tarot Research and Consultation

When Joseph was 9 years old, he found his first Tarot deck in an old trunk, in his aunt’s upstairs attic. It was an old Marseilles deck, and each card seemed to have its own unique beauty and meaning. But, what was it? The classical Tarot, which may be read like a book, provided another gateway into the esoteric arts. He was hooked.

Joseph received his A.A.Sc. degree in 1979, his BA (80), and holds the Bachelor’s in Bible (‘83), and M.Th. (‘85) in Theology, and the M.Sc. (‘96), and Ph.D. (‘98) in Philosophy of Education.

An ordained minister, he also served as a professor of theology and religion for 25 years. In 1977, Joseph took his first Yoga class and simultaneously began his studies in Gestalt Therapy. He then earned his diploma, (with Thesis), from the Gestalt Institute of New Orleans, serving on their faculty as well as teaching at The Gestalt Institute of Austin.

He has studied with some of the world’s most recognized teachers, and received his diploma in Meditation Teacher Training from Bahktiyogshala, Rishikesh, India. He served as a minister at the Flower of Life Church in Austin before making his home in Huntsville, Texas.

The Tarot de Marseille is a deck of seventy-eight cards composed of major and minor arcana. The cards speak an optical language and can be used as a therapeutic and psychological tool for self-knowledge.
